New Black mental health anthology with my sonnet
Inlandia Institute, the Southern California publisher of “These Black Bodies Are...A Blacklandia Anthology,” is releasing a new anthology entitled “88 Unashamed Black Mental Health Stories.” This is the second Inlandia Institute publication that has included work by me, in this case a sonnet called “Slumber.”
A letter to a therapist
I once had a therapist who took issue with my needing to leave my workplace when I had mental health crisis reactions. In response, I wrote her a letter that turned into an essay about the lack of equity and parity between attitudes and treatments for mental health versus physical health conditions.
